Welcome to Hope on the Farm
At Hope on the Farm, located in Marion, Virginia, we believe healing and growth are strengthened through meaningful connections with horses, nature, and ourselves. Serving individuals of all ages and abilities, our mission is to foster hope, resilience, confidence, and personal growth through equine-assisted learning, nature-based experiences, and equine-assisted psychotherapy (coming fall 2026).
Our programs provide a supportive environment for individuals impacted by trauma, those living with physical, intellectual, or mental health disabilities, and anyone seeking opportunities for self-discovery, emotional growth, connection, and personal development. You do not have to be experiencing a challenge or diagnosis to benefit from the powerful relationship between humans, horses, and the natural world.
Through compassionate guidance and meaningful experiences with animals and nature, participants can build trust, develop self-awareness, strengthen relationships, practice mindfulness, and discover their own path toward growth and healing.
Services
At Hope on the Farm, we connect children, teens, and adults of all abilities with horses and nature-based experiences designed to foster hope, trust, confidence, and personal growth. Through equine and nature-supported learning or counseling-integrated experiences, participants develop skills in emotional regulation, communication, mindfulness, and self-awareness while building meaningful connections with horses and others. We also incorporate exploration of natural outdoor environments to promote grounding, relaxation, and overall emotional well-being while providing opportunities to learn about animals, ecosystems, and the natural world.
Hope on the Farm offers individual and group sessions, as well as educational opportunities such as field trips and afterschool programs for schools, organizations, and community groups.
